Solid Oak Block Herringbone Floor
We first applied a levelling compound on the sub-floor so we had a flat base ready for the new wood flooring. We then laid the blocks on a flexible adhesive in a herringbone pattern.
The pattern is now taking shape as it is being laid to the entire area.
The floor is laid to the entire area in a herringbone pattern and sanded with fine sandpapers to ensure a smooth flat finish for the next stage of vanishing.
We apply the vanish in stages of three coats of commercial polyurethane vanish to get a natural clean finish to the floor.
The finished product shows off the natural beauty and colours of the oak flooring.
